The Lakota Language Preservation Project is being developed to help support Indigenous language accessibility, cultural learning, educational outreach, and future preservation efforts through respectful use of emerging technology.
The long-term vision is to explore how conversational AI, interactive educational systems, pronunciation guidance, and culturally informed learning tools may help younger generations engage with language learning in accessible and meaningful ways.

The broader vision of the project is to explore how modern educational technology may help support:
