The Wonder Way™

Record Production Method

“This is not a beginner’s guide. It is a professional way of thinking about recording.”

The Wonder Way™ is a disciplined approach to recording built on critical listening, awareness, and in the moment decision-making. It focuses on recognizing when a performance contains something rare—and knowing what to do in that moment to preserve it.

Rather than relying on equipment or technique alone, The Wonder Way™ centers on focused critical listening, identifying what is working and what isn’t, and making clear decisions that shape the outcome. It is a way of working that captures the emotional connection that defines the difference between a recording and a Record.
